Proceeds of the evening were donated to Drogheda Hospice Homecare

A wonderful evening was had for the annual Parish Social on Monday 16th January 2017.

Our Annual Parish is a Thank You Night for all those who help out in the Parish in any way. Such an important gathering provides the opportunity to mingle a little and meet each other in a setting beyond the church.

After the meal many people stayed on for chat and to  enjoy music and dance provided by Declan. Look at the Photos section for some pictures of the evening.

The Eucharistic Congress Bell Pilgrimage

The bell is being brought on foot from place to place around Ireland by teams of volunteers. It will be a focal point for gathering and for prayer, in cathedrals, parish churches and places of pilgrimage.

The pilgrimage commenced in the Archdiocese of Dublin on 17th March 2011, when the bell was blessed by Archbishop Martin in the Pro Cathedral in Dublin. It was then brought to Saint Patrick’s Cathedral, Armagh, from where it continued its journey from diocese to diocese.  It visited Holy Family Parish on 11th October 2011.  See the Photos page to catch more memories of this special day.

The pilgrimage will end in a final pilgrimage ceremony at the opening of the International Eucharistic Congress in the Archdiocese of Dublin in June 2012.
