The Eucharist

“The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, and self control” (Galatians 5:22).

Under this programme, home, school and parish strive to work together. The young people are now of an age where they can carry a greater degree of personal responsibility for matters relating to the practice of their faith.

To supplement the ‘Alive O’ school programme, we also have a parish based Confirmation Programme. To begin this programme the young people must already have received the Sacrament of Baptism, Confession and Communion.
There is an emphasis on including activities that help explore the practical application of their faith. For example, we do some charity fund raising, an environment clean up day, exploring St. Kevin’s Way in the Wicklow Mountains and pray around a flame of fire on the Hill of Slane. Among the highlights of the programme is our Ceremony of Light, conducted in the dark of winter where the young people provide an impressive spectacle in our estate as they carry their lighted candles through the dark of night.
The dates and times for all the activities and events associated with the Confirmation year are to be found on the Parish Calendar located on the website.
